Brewco Motorsports, Inc. announced today that Scott Wimmer will expand his racing schedule to cover the six races that Michael Waltrip was originally scheduled to compete. An unexpected sponsor conflict is the reason for the change. Waltrip finished 10th at Nashville Superspeedway last month in the only race he ran in the Yard-Man Ford.
Waltrip will remain a spokesman for the Yard-Man line of outdoor power equipment.
When this conflict arose we exhausted all efforts in trying to find a solution so that I could continue driving the Yard-Man Ford, said Waltrip. I am proud to represent Yard-Man and I am happy that I get to carry on a relationship with Yard-Man through corporate appearances and promotions.
Yard-Man is represented on the upper chest of Waltrips NASCAR NETEL Cup Series uniforms and Waltrip will remain an integral part of Yard-Mans trackside display and events like the Honey is that Michael Waltrip mowing our lawn? sweepstakes and the Cut to the Chase competition with Ken Schrader.
Scott Wimmer will begin his tour piloting the Yard-Man Ford effective this weekend at Richmond International Raceway.
We are always looking for classy individuals and talented drivers to represent Yard-Man and Scott Wimmer has both qualities, said Tim Coughlin, National Sales & Marketing Manager for MTD Products, Inc. His success with Brewco Motorsports so far this season has our organization excited about his potential performance in the Yard-Man Ford. Michael Waltrip has been a great spokesman for Yard-Man and will continue in that role.
