Chris Wimmer will be back behind the wheel of the No. 25 Wimmer Racing Chevrolet this weekend in the Wisconsin Challenge Series Championship 80 at Marshfield Super Speedway. Joining Wimmer Racing as an associate sponsor is Phillys Subs located in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Weve worked really hard to get the car ready for Marshfield, said Wimmer. Im really looking forward to getting out there and running again. I know this car can run up front and I am ready to put it there.
Wimmers last race was the Wisconsin All-Star 50 at the Milwaukee Mile in August. Starting 21st in the field, the No 25 finished a disappointing 36th due to engine failure. The team returned to Wausau to regroup and prepare the car to return to the track.
We lost the motor not long after the start of the race, commented Wimmer. It was just so frustrating with all the work we put into that car to get it ready for Milwaukee. Lots of sleepless nights that week and to have to pull out that early was just really disappointing.
