KHI has had a lot of success this year with both cars, and I hope to add to that,” Wimmer said in a news release. “Kevin and I have always talked about me driving on his cars, so I’m grateful for the opportunity and really want to have a strong run for them. They put a lot of effort into the truck and Busch series programs and want to see them succeed.”
Wimmer has driven 12 Busch races in RCR’s No. 29, splitting time with Jeff Burton. He’s also driven the No. 21 in four events, including a fifth-place finish at Bristol last weekend.
Wimmer has two runnerup finishes in 2007, at Milwaukee and Gateway.
